Tomato runs the websites you already use on the Chromium engine. Its assistant stays off until you turn it on.
Talk to your browser, watch the agent work at the top of your screen, and see your mail without opening it.
Your browser makes you do all the work. Slow. Manual. No AI. Until now.
Meet Tomato. A lighter browser for your Mac, with an AI that gets things done.
Your browser just waits for clicks. But you are scrolling reels, building a startup, cooking dinner, stuck in meetings. What if it worked while you did?
Press Option Space in any app, or just say, Hey Tomato. No clicks, no typing. Talk to it like you talk to your friends. It listens, reacts, and reads to you. Hand it a task. It plans, clicks and types across your tabs, and asks before it sends. Your mail in one line, from a model running on your Mac. Nothing leaves it.
Tomato. Completely free, with the AI on your Mac. Register to try the beta today. Launching soon.
On screen at the end: tomato.v-ai.org. Built by Vishal Patil.
Search, tabs, bookmarks, history and downloads work the way you expect, and private windows keep no history. Here is what Tomato adds.
Coming later: Tomato will rest background tabs so the page you are reading gets the power.
The assistant does nothing until you switch it on. It asks before it acts on a site where you are signed in, and logins, purchases and messages always need your OK.
The assistant runs a model on your Mac, so your pages and questions never leave it. You can use your own Claude or ChatGPT key instead, and nothing personal goes with it unless you switch that on and read what it says first.
Sign in to keep your bookmarks, search engine and homepage the same on every Mac. Everything works without an account.
Hold to talk to dictate into a text field, or ask the assistant to compare your tabs, add a task or find time for it. Your voice is turned into text on your Mac.
Tomato reads any page aloud in a natural Mac voice. Pause, stop or change the speed while it reads.
Tomato offers to save passwords and keeps them in your Mac's Keychain. It fills one only when you click the field, on the site you saved it for.
Tomato is a non commercial project. No ads, no paid tier, and your data is never sold.
The main things Tomato sends on its own, and what stays on your Mac.
